Find me on Facebook- if you know my name

I’ve been reconnecting with HS friends on Facebook. Debating whether I should put my maiden name in there or not. I did add it into the “former name” box so supposedly it comes up in a search (wait, let me test that- yep, works) but who exactly is going to search for me? Mostly we seem to be stumbling across each other in other classmates profiles. So maybe I should add it. But then, I was dating Pat in HS so anyone I really want to get in touch with will probably recognize my married name.

Of course, I did just join a group for my Catholic elementary school, certainly there are classmates from there who won’t know my married name. But again, the friends I’d want to get back in touch with are the ones I kept in touch with through HS, so they would probably recognize my married name.

Still, as was asked of me on Twitter, why not just add my maiden name? I don’t know! It just feels weird, since I haven’t used it for anything in over 22 years!

Guess I’ll keep thinking on it.
