What’s the big deal with WordPress?
I specialize in WordPress because of its adaptability and flexibility. A WordPress blog can be used for anything from a simple journal to a full content management system. A single WordPress install can support multiple blogs and authors, making it an ideal business or non-profit communications solution. WordPress also offers ease of use once your blog is installed. Posting and making changes to your blog can be as easy as using your favorite “office” software.
WordPress blogs are structured in a search engine friendly manner, which helps keep your SEO related costs down. There are countless plugins available for WordPress which allow you to present information in fun and creative ways, or keep track of site traffic. I can help you find the plugins that fit your needs.
Will you host my website or blog?
At this time I do not offer hosting. If you need a home for your website or blog I can help you find a host that suits your needs, at additional cost. I do not guarantee satisfaction with your hosting service.
I use Blogger/Typepad/LiveJournal/MySpace/WordPress.com. Can you customize my blog?
Possibly. In many cases all you really need to make a blog your own is a custom header. Contact me for details!
How quickly will my new design be completed?
This again depends on the scope of the design, as well as the quality and quantity of communication between us. I make it a priority to respond quickly and accurately to any questions and concerns you may have, and I do ask a lot of questions both before and during design so I am clear on what you want the end result to be. The faster both our questions are answered, the sooner you’ll have your design!
What exactly is social networking and why is it important to me?
Social networking is a little difficult to explain, but once you start using it the benefits become apparent. A friend (who I met through a social network, of course) explains it as “leveraging various technology tools to enable conversation and sharing between friends and strangers.” I’ve found the best part of using social networks is the deeper and fuller connections I make with other people. I stay in closer touch, and know more about, people in my social networks than some people I know in person.
For businesses and nonprofits, social networking can change the way you market and connect with customers and clients. I know, because I find most of my clients through social networking! A connection to one person means you’re connected to everyone that person is connected to, and so on.
What will my design or consultation cost?
Costs are dependent upon the scope of the design or services, and the time and effort required. That said, I think you’ll find the rates quite affordable. Let’s talk!
Can you consult with us in person?
I’m located in central New Jersey and I’m happy to meet with local clients in person. If you live further away I’m not adverse to letting you treat me to a visit to consult with you on your own turf! Of course, working in person isn’t necessary, as I’ve successfully worked with clients I’ve never had the pleasure of shaking hands with.
